Visiting Faculty, Marriage and Family TherapyMary E. Dankoski, Ph.D. is Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs and Professional Development, Indiana University School of Medicine; Lester D. Bibler Scholar and Associate Professor of Clinical Family Medicine; and Interim Co-Chair, Department of Family Medicine. She has a doctorate degree in marriage and family therapy from Purdue University, where she also earned a graduate minor in women's studies. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Dankoski has been active in marriage and family therapy leadership, having served as the President of the Indiana Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (term 1/1/05 – 12/31/06) and Chair, Council of Division Presidents of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (1/1/07 – 12/31/08). She is Co-Chair of the IUSM Women’s Advisory Council and faculty advisor to the student chapter of the American Medical Women’s Association. Her scholarly interests include the advancement of women and underrepresented minority faculty, assessment of faculty vitality, organizational development, clinical teaching, and behavioral medicine education in family medicine. She is married and has three children.
